Why we chose Bed, Bath and Beyond for our bridal registry
August 25th, 2006I mentioned previously how we did not want to use Macy’s for our bridal registry. We wound up using Bed, Bath and Beyond and Home Depot instead. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Bed, Bath and Beyond.
When we went back to set up a registry, we had a short wait before somebody was available to help us Bed, Bath and Beyond. However, she let us know she’d be a few minutes and that she’d be right back, and once there she was very helpful and made sure that we had a good experience.
Unfortunately, the store did not carry all of the items we wanted to register for, such as the fine china. We had gotten a pretty good idea of what we liked from Macy’s, though, so we were able to pick something out from the catalog. We have received some of the sets, and the plates are in fact very nice. We were able to walk around the store and scan anything that we wanted to add to the registry, and the website makes it very easy to manage it from home. You can add and remove things without leaving your own computer and going all the way back into town. Our guests were also able to order things online or in the store without any troubles that we were told about.
Bed, Bath and Beyond also fed us a snack and a drink while we were there, since they knew we’d be there for a while. That was a very nice touch.
Home Depot we registered at because we had just bought a house. You probably gathered that from reading this website. They do not allow you to do anything in the store about the registry, and they do not carry the same inventory online as they do in the store. What they do have that is the same is difficult to find from one to the other. I can not really recommend the Home Depot registry, but it made sense for us to use it anyway.
