Epson Inkjet Printers

Epson D68I no longer own any Epson inkjet printers, but I have owned one in the past. When I had the printer, I really liked it. The prints looked great, especially the photo prints (when printed on the photo paper anyway), and I was able to swap out the individual colors as they needed replacing. That is definately something that I look for in a color printer.

When my mother needed to buy a printer, I had her get an Epson all in one printer. It was basically the same printer that I had except that she could also scan and fax with hers. She still uses it today, and it has treated her really well.

My printer eventually had to be replaced. I am home brewer, and I used to print my beer labels using it. When I did not print anything for a few months at a time, though, the printer stopped working correctly. One of the jets gummed up bad enough that I could not clean it out. Epson sent me a replacement printer. The process was not fast and painless, but in terms of the customer service it was a lot better than I have had elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I eventually had the same problem with the refurbished printer that they sent me, and I gave up on it. I got a couple of cheap inkjet printers off of a closeout sale that I can use when I need to print in color, and I have a laser printer that I use for most of my printing needs. Other than beer labels and wedding invitations, the inkjet has not seen a lot of use since I bought the house.

My mother, who does print things on a regular basis, has never had any trouble with her printer other than running out of ink. I taught her how to replace it herself, though, so that she does not need to call me about that anymore.

If you see a good deal on an Epson printer and you know that you will be printing regularly, then I definately recommend them. If you only print in color on rare occasions, however, you are probably better off finding another solution.
